Annual Daylily Sale

June 25th,  9 am to 5 pm

The 2016 Kimmswick Daylily Sale will be held Saturday, June 25th from 9am to 5pm at 6005 Fourth Street. Freshly dug plants for sale from the state inspected garden of Carrol Wrather, Certificate # A-1777. Seventy five varieties and 1200 Freshly Dug and Bagged plants for sale. "The garden has some 600 varieties on display" Come early for best selection. No sales before 9am. All proceeds go to the Kimmswick Visitor Center, which is here for your convenience when you visit Kimmswick.

Applebutter Festival

October 29th and 30th

The Kimmswick Appplebutter Festival is the last full weekend of October. The Apple Butter Festival is the largest celebration Kimmswick has annually drawing over 100,000 visitors. Come enjoy the small town ambiance, stroll through our streets lined with 500 – 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town including bluegrass, country rock, and dulcimer music.

 

Deer Widows' Weekend

November 11th, 12th and 13th

Calling all "Deer Widows", Send the men off to the woods...and start your "man free" weekend with us in Kimmswick! When the guys go hunting...the girls go shopping! Girls "bag" your own "trophies" in Kimmswick! Get a head start on your holiday shopping and enjoy a day out with your girlfriends in Kimmswick."Target your Savings!" Make a $1.00 donation to support the Kimmswick Visitor Center, and receive a Shopping Passport that will give you discounts and free gifts at Participating Merchants and Restaurants throughout Kimmswick. With each purchase made during the weekend, you can enter to win a "Bucket of Bucks" Gift Basket, on Display at the Kimmswick Visitor Center. Some lucky winner will win "Big Bucks" in Gift Certificates for Kimmswick Merchants! Shopping Passports and all details are available at the Kimmswick Visitor Center or any of the participating Kimmswick merchants.

Christmas Open House and Parade
 
November 19th, 10 am - 9 pm

Finish your holiday shopping early! The town will be decked out in its holiday attire, with special events planned. Santa will host a tree lighting ceremony, strolling carolers and entertainment throughout the town. Shops will be serving refreshments. So make your list and check it twice then head to Kimmswick for this fun-filled family event and wrap-up your Holiday shopping early this year.Complimentary Trolley Rides, Music, Join the festivities! Shops will be open late: 10am to 9pm. Restaurants will be open extended hours.
  • 11 am Santa Arrives at our Christmas Parade led by the Windsor High School Band
  • 1- 4pm Historic Burgess How House & Kimmswick Historical Museum will be open.
  • 2- 8pm Horse Drawn Trolley Rides
  • 5 pm Lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Kimmswick Visitor Center.

Christmas Festival and Cookie Walk
 
December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th - 10 am - 9 pm
 
We invite you to join us December 2nd, 3rd, or 4th to enjoy the warm glow of the Holidays as you stroll the Festive Streets of Kimmswick.
The Cookie Walk is a “not to be missed” event! The walk offers cheer for the entire family with a festive holiday atmosphere and the collection of more than 2 dozen treats (28 participating merchants)! With your ticket you’ll receive our 2016 “sweet treat” recipe book and a gift bag and map to collect your goodies!
This weekend we also celebrate our Christmas Festival! The town’s historic buildings are decorated in Christmas attire; there are strolling carolers, carriage rides, along with many other festive activities. Luminaries will light your way as you stroll the streets; shops are open late (until 9 pm). Restaurants too will have extended hours as well.
